my husbands cell phone as always given me problems now it is out of waranty i have contacted them many times and they talk me through and the phone goes out again and again but this phone was a dud from the beginning how do i talk them into giving me another phone no charge and not doing a contract what will they do to keep my business we are currently not in a contract but i feel i should get another phone my husband my daughter and i are on the same line so my husband doesn't have his phone now but still paying the bill

we have been with the company for about 4 years when we got our phones we were under contract when it runs out you can get another phone but they put you on contract again i have my oringinal phone but this is my husband and daughter 2nd phone

without signing a contract , no company will GIVE you phones, your best bet is to go to ebay and bid on a phone or craigslist.org and buy 1 there are some good deals on craigslist. Just make sure that you buy a compatible phone with your carrier

Sorry, but if you're not on a contract, the cell phone company won't see it as a 'recoupable' cost.

example: a cell phone company gives you a $200 cell phone for free, as long as you sign a contract, because they'll make more than the $200 back in service and fees for the length of your contract. If you have no commitment to stay with them after they give you a new phone, what would be their motivation to give you it for free? If they practiced losing money, they wouldn't be in business.
