Crappy part time job, lots of evenings, soul destroyingly boring or rushed off my feet with very little in between. I'M FREE!!!!! I don't have anything else lined up but I don't care. Hurrah! :D

I am happy for you. Many people might say you always have to have something lined up..but I disagree. If your current job is making you that miserable and you can cover your finances at this time, quitting is fine. Additional stress is never good and now you can fully enjoy the holidays. Take some time off and once you get your energy back..you can look for a lot better job. Some people sell themselves short by staying in a crappy job...don't be one of them.

Deliver morning newspapers. Not many coworkers to deal with, and most of the time you do not need to do the collections of the money owed! You work about 7 days a week. Rest of the day off.

Sometimes temp agencies can help you find a job. Temp to hire, or just be a temp for good. Except you rarely get any pay raises or bonuses yearly. You usually have 1 day to figure out you like the place or not.

NEVER ADECCO! They suck!

So now its back to that soundtrack by Gorillas or Gorillaz "Feels Good" Tune.

Good for you. I was in that same situation as you last year and it did felt good, but with no money coming in, it is going to be tough. I do hope that you do have enough to cover your expenses and I do hope that you plan on searching for a job some time next year because it is DEc. and no one hires in the last month of the year. Register for staffing agencies for work. I did and I found my first real job through a staffing agency. Now that I am back unemployed, the agency that found me this job, my contact person no longer works there, so I suggest register for at leat 3-4 that will specialize in clerical work since reading this statement, I know that you worked in retail. Good luck to you in the future and party.

Let's hope your landlord or your mortgage provider is as happy as you are! ! ! ! ! Seriously though. Hope your next job is one that you will find fulfilling and worthwhile. In the meantime to stop yourself getting 'bored' why don't you think about doing something which will make you feel worthwhile, like working for the Samaritans or doing some charity work. You will also possibly be able to fit any sort of work like this in around what suits you best. Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

er, not really personal experience but i had a friend who was so blissfully happy after she was on this 'nightmare' job she was in for a few months. she was just not right for the job, said there was no growth, how can she be promoted when all she did was categorize mountains of paperworks and make the right person sign on every color-coded paper? she also had no friends and they talk behind her back, and so many overtime without pay, even on weekends.
..so i happy for you too ^_^

Totally babe. My last two jobs have been totally sh.. and the feeling of utter relief when I left was fantastic! I share in your joy. Go out, get drunk, buy yourself those shoes you wanted, treat yourself to a spa, call up your girlfriends, have a laugh! Or maybe sit in front of a good girly film with a bottle of red and a box of roses. Sorted! xx

Yes Yes Yes - it is so liberating and feels like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Until it comes to the usual pay day but no money arrives!

On the last day at work for an organisation that treated me like sh*t I drove to my future husband's house with "I ain't gonna work here no more" by Talking Heads blaring out of my car stereo! I hope they heard it! Well done you!
