I am eight weeks pregnant. I have heard about "morning sickness" but I didn't know it went with liquids too. The only thing so far that hasn't made me sick is water. Soda, juice and any other type liquids just can't stay down. On the bright side I quit smoking as well because it too was making me sick. Has anyone else experienced this. As for food nothing except sugary foods make me sick. How can this liquid intolerance be helped or is it unavoidable.

i know when i felt sick or hungry i couldn't have any liquids in my stomach at all or it all come back up within minutes. the only time i could drink anything was after i ate. and i still had to keep it at a minimum. it eventually got better around the 11th week. try mixing things up to see what works for you.

the only liquid thing that made me sick while pregnant was water!and i am a person that drinks at least 2 gallons of water a day!so it was really hard for me!i just tried to get in at least one glass of water a day until i could tolerate it again.i am now 31 weeks and its all i drink again.it took till i was about 25 weeks for the morning sickness to stop however.its just something you have to just wait out and it will get better.actually you will have a healthier pregnancy due to this if you think about it!!i know it sucks but trust me it will get better!

Congrats on quitting smoking!!!
I haven't heard of this liquid intolerance. At least you can still handle water. If you can't handle milik (you do need it for the calcium) try yogurt of ice cream or cheese.
Congrats and good luck!!!

Hey

Getting into the habit of drinking water instead of soda and juice is a very healthy one! Soda is just bad for you and fruit juice is very acidic.

All the best with your pregnancy.

Water is the best thing to drink anyway...tolerate it for now...Morning sickness usually doesn't last to long.
My thing was ginger ale and baby carrots and graham crackers. My first trimester staple. Took them with me where ever I went.
