It's a supply line running from North Vietnam through Laos & Cambodia to South Vietnam during the Vietnam war.

The North Vietnamese used Laos & Cambodia because American troops are officially forbidden from operating in the 2 afore said countries & the commies took advantage of this situation

Cookie, I think you meant HoChi Minh trail....It didn't really have a beginning or ending point. It was a supply route between North and South VietNam used primarily by the North Vietnamese to resupply there troops in the south. Some roads, but a whole lot of jungle trails......

It was a trade/troop movement line going through Cambodia to avoid our forces in Vietnam knowing that we wouldn't attack Cambodia because if we did the Chinese would have been quite angry. So to sum it up it was where the Commies could run from the North to South and back without getting blasted by napalm.
