There's no reason why it shouldn't be. Churches can stick by whatever they want for religious reasons, but the civil ceremony should be open to whomever.
Anyone who tells you 'marriage has always been a man and a woman' is ignorant and has not studied history or other cultures. Financial and social arrangements between people of the same sex have been made in various cultures in different periods, including historical cultures in China, America (before the Europeans), and Africa.

This day in age, I believe that any relationship that is successful should be rewarded. Everyone deserves to at least have peace and serenity in their own home. There are way too many other issues to worry about and correct in this Country to try to stop 2 people who love each other and want to commit to each other from doing so. Yes, gays and lesbian adults should most definitely be allowed to marry.

why not let gay people have health benefits too? it isn't fair to them in that aspect. so, people freak out that it infringes upon God's sacred union of man and woman, but reality is that a gay marriage would be different. if God hates gayness, then God wouldn't honor a gay marrage, right? so, then a gay marriage would be different, so why not let them get married & have a few things a little easier.

Hell yea they should. .I think i am going to move to Mass, they allow it . I just wrote my final essay in my english class on this. and i think people should be able to marry any one they want. The always pull the religion card, and try and say its against the bible, and bla bla bla, well not everyone believes in the same thing. And the next time some one says no because its in the bible and its a sin, ask them do they eat pork!!!!!!!

Those laws forbidding same sex marriages should be abolished. They rate right up there with making Pork Products illegal because some feel that Pork is "unclean".

I say yes, if they love each other! I say the law should not keep them apart if they love each other enough to get married! All tho its not acceptable for those who is Chrisitan or relegion, some just want to be loved by their own kind........ Most just do it cause of that.

NO Way. That is just WRONG. We wouldn't even be having this conversation if it wasn't for the bond between a male and female.
