I passed through his home town of Comber (?), County Down and saw a Thomas Andrews Memorial Hall. A few years ago Belfast started an annual Titanic festival in April. I don't knoiw if it is still on but I think they had an actor playing him and mingling with visitors to one of the exhibits. His brother became prime minister of N Ireland in 1940.

Andrews is still a highly respected name in Belfast (where the Harland & Wolff Shipyards were located). Accounts vary as to exactly how he spent his time during the 2 hours and 40 minutes between the collision and the final foundering, but all surviving accounts do nothing but praise him.

His widow and family maintained a low profile, and none of them, to my knowledge, put any reminiscences on paper or furnished interviews.

As to books about Andrews, the best, and the best source, is probably "Thomas Andrews, Shipbuilder" which you might be able to find in a good sized library.----------the author's name is Shan Bledsoe.

As to whereabouts of present day family-----?
