My one year old recently had gastroenteritis and was waking up a few times a night due to vomiting and diarrhea and now that his illness is gone and has been for a few days, he is still waking up every 2 hours expecting a bottle. I try to let him cry for 10 minutes or so at a time to see if he'll go back to sleep, but he won't. I am soooooo tired!! Any suggestions? Thanks!

Don't give in to the bottle. I know it is hard but resist. Try taking him out of bed and rocking him. Singing to him. Sooth him anyway you can. i am sure in a few nights he will be back to sleeping all night.

When he gets up don't say a word, don't turn on any lights or tv, just simply offer him a bottle of plain water or a sippy cup of plain water. A couple of nights and he will stop getting up.

I know it's hard but try not to give him a feed. just comfort him as best you can. Play some soft music in the background as you rock him off to sleep.
