there is also a Latin phrase, much used in the legal profession which means "it goes without saying": "Res Ipsa Loquitur". If this is written between lawyers - usually preceded by the term "with respect..." it usually means "this should be obvious to even the most stupid individual, so why are you too dense to grasp this simple fact?", or words to that effect.

Try not to use "as you can see" and "obviously" if you can avoid them. After all, if your audience can see, you don't need to tell them so. The same goes for obviously.

You can soften the language by saying:
It follows that---
Therefore--
Thus, it appears that--
In conclusion--
This makes it clear that--

You may not want to put it in there at all. Think about it for a minute. If someone can see something, they don't need to have that fact pointed out to them. They've already seen it!

It's kind of like "needless to say." If it's needless to say, then by god, don't say it!
