traditional at our house is Cheese and sausage and crackers, Chex party mix (moms recipe not like the bagged stuff) Cookies and fudge, veggies and dip Yum. Christmas day we don't go anywhere we stay in our PJ's as long as we want and I cook all our favorite foods. We watch Christmas movies like Its a Wonderfull Life and The Muppet Christmas Carol. After dinner we nap. It's the best day of the year. We invite friends and relatives for dinner but usually it's just us.

We stopped traveling (10 hour drive) to family for Christmas when the children came along. We also wanted the kids to have Christmas at their own house. Our families came up with the idea of celebrating Christmas the weekend before Christmas. On Saturday we went to his family and on Sunday we went to mine. Then we packed up and headed back to have our own Christmas at home. Relatives were always invited to come see us if they wanted, but no one ever did.

I am not going to be having any family gathering, so the only muchies I am going to have is for myself. I am going to get some baked chips and salsa, make some ranch and onion dips with fat-free sour cream (low-fat diet due to gallstones) I may cheat some and bake some molasses cookies and look for some low-fat eggnot that I can spike with brandy, YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!
