The formula for the calculus
is W = W0 10 ^(dB/10) where W0 = 10^-(12)

you replace dB by its value 99 and W0 by 10^-(12)

W = 10^-(12) * 10^(99/10)
and remember 10^a * 10^b = 10^(a+b)

W = 10^(-12+9.9) =10^(-2.1) = 8 10^-3 watts

Sound intensity is variously defined as amplitude or displacement (Ref. one million) or skill in line with unit section (ref. 2). in case you advise displacement, then a 20 dB intensity ratio = 10^(dB/20) = 10^one million = 10 situations the displacement. in case you advise skill, then a 20 dB intensity ratio = 10^(dB/10) = 10^2 = one hundred situations the skill.
