IF you can afford more I would say do more. It is your Dad but if you can not then that is good.

Don't spend more then you can afford and realize that he will probably appreciate anything. I might even reccomend a gift rather then a gift card...get him something he likes and it will show you put some thought into the gift giving.

Shouldn't be more than you can afford. A gift is a token of your affection. It shouldn't be judged by the amount but the thought behind the gift. If you can definitely afford more and would like to, then do, and if you can't afford that much, then don't feel pressured.

Well if it's a gift, I'm sure he wouldn't mind, although $15 is a bit steep. If ur budget is only $15, i suggest giving him something handmade. Anyway he'll love whatever u get him

I'm sure your dad wouldn't want you to spend any money on him. How about an I.O.U. a years worth of snow shoveling, or help him put up the Christmas lights, or help him finish a project that he needs help with. I'm sure he would appreciate these ideas more.
