Thats a nice little answer but doesn't fly in the face of reality. The best answer might be the Dems do not represent anyone. For Bush to get elected means that millions of Democrats have to vote for him and not the Dem candidate. That was John Kerry, who has wealth (through his wifey) 463 million dollars...kind of the common man. The Dem Party refused to put tariffs on imported stell though Clinton promised it. Labor supported Bush and labor is all of the little people. The Dems represent Barbara Streisand and Rose O'Donnell but not the rest of the people in the country. Good luck with that.

I think that is a very biased, uncalled for viewpoint and you will find many "common," even lower class, Republicans in the US.
