I may have an opportunity to visit Morocco on a missionary trip next year. Being Christian among Muslims scares me a little and not being in the best of areas. I will be there 4-6 weeks. I have not found out the specific are we will be in yet. Has anyone visited there or have had much contact with Muslims. I do have a family and the possibility of not returning to them makes me apprehensive, but this is a good opportunity and something I feel I should do at t his point in my life.

Don't go there trying to convert people, otherwise yes people will have a problem with you. But if you go to enjoy the country and to experience the culture...go and you'll have fun. Just don't cross the line...Muslims are proud/love of their religion no matter how unrelgious the person they may seem. Missionaries are not welcome in Muslim countries. I'm sure you'll find some beautiful churches to visit there.

I am Christian from the US and have been to Morocco. Morocco is a nice country and the people are very nice and welcoming. As long as you are nice to them you won't have a problem. Muslims are not bad people and Morocco is a safe country. I married a Muslim man. He would never hurt no one. Much like the rest of them. Yes there is a handful of them that are bad people and do hurt people. But you have that everywhere. Like I told my dad, I could walk out my front door and get shot. It's everywhere.

Morocco is pretty liberal as far as religion goes- meaning only, that everyone is religious in a different way - they don't compartmentalize it from the rest of their life - that said, they aren't zealots, and i think it's sad that you're "afraid" of being around so many muslims.

Also, missionaries by definition are biggots. Leave them alone.

Easy don't preach to the Muslims in Morocco because they won't want to hear your views on Jesus and will be offended. Don't insult the Muslims. If you do either of those your going to be offending a lot of Muslims.
