Chatsworth, CA in the western part of the San Fernando Valley.
Before WWII the valley had an agriculture based economy. Now its just a grubby LA suburb.
The porno studios are located in a bunch of nondescript warehouses and if you didn't know, you'd think they were ordinary warehouses or other manufacturing businesses.
The earthquake in the mid nineties hit the porno studios hard, destroying many of the warehouses. Some thought it was an act of God.

It's a town in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. I bellieve it is Reseda or Granada Hills. It is just one of the many cities that make up Los Angeles.
