I found a nice little car but its in queensland and im on the other side of australia in west australia? Whats a good way of getting the car over. Flying voer and driving back would probaly to expensive as would shipping, so any ideas? Are there drive away's in oz? Cheers

You could put it on a train perhaps! I know you can take a car from Perth to Sydney on the Indian Pacific for $489 provided it isn't any longer than 5.5m then I suppose you'd have to drive it up to Melbourne or wherever you are. Might cost different if no one is accompanying the car, too.

No, you don't but you can't drive it until you pay. Or you will get $120 fine. You can leave it upto 3mths but of course you can't drive it until it is paid and the 3mths you lose on while the car sits there. So, you would be back paying 3mths of rego you didn't drive the car.
