In England on Channel 4 the directors have decided that it would be a good idea to send a Christmas message. Usually the Christmas message is from the Queen but Channel 4 have decided that they will send a Christmas message to the Muslims. This will be introduced by a Muslim woman wearing a full viel. Now, in England we are getting told off for putting up Christmas decorations in case it offends Muslims. I want to know your views. Are the Channel 4 bosses just loosing their minds and really wanting to piss off the public or are they having a go at Muslims? Do Muslims really want a special Christmas message considering it means nothing to them?

I asked a similar question to this. I am not racist, but I don't understand why, during a christian holiday, we should be worried about insulting Muslim people. Every country should be free to express their religion, as long as they do not harm or insult anyone. I think that the channel 4 message is an insult to the Queen and should be shown at another time, or not at all. The speech has nothing to do with Christmas.

I also agree that this is a very stupid idea. Is channel 4 trying to cause outrage or are they trying to make money by making a mockery of what is supposed to be a christian festival.I am the complete oposite to racist and would love it if all could be equal in this country however i find it harder and harder to stay out of this debate when everytime i watch the news or open the paper i am greeted by yet more political correctness in order not to offend other religions.

I laughed at first. And people say Americans are too politically correct? It's kind of silly. But then I thought about it. I lived in Indonesia for 5 years and they went all out for Christmas. That's the largest population of Muslims in the world! A lot of them consider Christmas to be their holiday too. Jesus is one of their major prophets, they celebrate/honor Mohammed's birthday and if Christians are celebrating Jesus' they can join in too.

No.Muslims donot celebtrate birthdays. no longer purely Jesus pbuh even celebrating Prophet Muhammad saas birthday too is seen Unislamic act. Islam is absolute fact and Chrsitianity is falsehood. Humanity can't prevail without obeying Islam, the existence prescribed by Allah swt your Lord and My Lord.

I think the station completely misunderstands muslims, muslims truly hate Christians, therefore they would hate Christmas. Odd..
