They sell cleaning products door to door in London. Claim to be a "national self help group". No registered charity number. No address apart from a PO Box in Woodford Green. Anyone come across them?

yeah I've had them come here (Harrow). I was suspicious of them, also the stuff they were selling was grossly overpriced.

I think a charity must have a registered number (it's easy for them to obtain) otherwise it's a bit sketchy

Dont open the Door to anyone if you are alone or elderly...if you dont know or are not expecting them.... You have to give people the benefit of the doubt though - they could be genuine enough - but just dont take the chance if you dont feel safe.

It's a con. Don't even open your door to them. Any bona fide group would be happy to supply you with their credentials to check out.
