I checked my ovulation calender online...it says I would be fertile from the 22-25th of november... If we tried on the 1st of Dec. is there any possible way of getting pregnant? I don't know much about this kinda of stuff, so I am really curious if anybody would happen to know. THANK YOU!!!

Sure it's possible...just not as likely.

The first thing you should know is that the online fertility calendars are very inaccurate--they only work for women with textbook perfect 28 day cycles. The best way to calculate ovulation is to figure how long your cycles are based on the past few months. Then figure when your next period is due and count back 16 days--start having intercourse. The average couple only has about a 20% chance each cycle.

If you are trying to conceive the best thing to do is to educate yourself and be prepared. Read up on the fertility times, conception, and things that you should do when trying to conceive (for ex. cutting down caffeine, no drinking, no smoking, etc). I would also make an appt w/ the doc for a check up and to get a plan in place. Some good websites are babyzone.com, webmd.com, fertilityfriend.com, babycenter.com. The home ovulation tests are always a good start as well.

It is possible you could have conceived, but unlikely. All you can do is wait and hope! Good Luck!

I totally agree with a previous poster that those calendars are not so accurate unless you have that textbook cycle. Even THEN, it can't be reliable. You can have a 28 day cycle and not ovulate on day 14.....it could be day 17 but then you have a short luteal phase.

Everyone is different and that is why I HATE websites that tell you things like that.

You can use the ovulation tests, although, that can get costly if you don't know when to test for sure.

I always charted my BBT (basal body temps) free at fertilityfriend.com......that will tell you for sure when/if you ovulate! :)

Hello, I am trying myself also. My most fertile days was the 22, 23, and 24th. Those are the days that I tried to conceive, now I'm just waiting to take a pregnant test. Hope this will help for you: You should have sex the days that it says that you are fertile. If you are fertile on those days, you should have sex. I wouldn't suggest waiting to December 1st, because you might not be fertile.
