I put in a picture for password protection on my email and now it no longer appears, am I still safe using my E-mail?

I assume you mean through Yahoo. Are you using the same computer? Same browser? Did you clear cookies or change anything on your computer?

Are you talking about during the initial bootup when you first turn on the computer and before Windows is completely loaded? You had a picture there that you clicked before going into Windows?

If that is what you mean, that is called the Windows log in. It gives you access to the computer, but not the the e-mail, so if that is missing, people still can not get into your e-mail. It has its own id and password.

From the Start menu, go into the Control Panel. Look for an icon the says Users and double click it. You should see an account for each person permitted to use your PC. Find the one you use to click on.

If you open that account, you will see where you can set up a password for the account. Reset that password and it should make it so you have to click the log in icon and enter your password on boot up again.
