Okay you struck a nerve. NO. I have 3 kids and i am dating a female. and we both love my children and they are very happy. i believe as long as they are happy and respectful then anyone should be able to raise a child. there are so many foster kids and unwanted kids out there that need loving homes. who cares if it is an alternative family as long as the child is loved and well taken care of!!!???

Not at all. There are several factors which should be used to determine someones ability to provide for a child. Sexuality is NOT one of them.

this is probably the best question i have ever seen here - i feel it should not - am guessing if one is a homosexual then society is truly going to be mean but people will always have their opinions - as of for me - i am straight, not into women - but i am also liberal enoigh to respect the decisions of another and not impose my personal convictions upon the lifestyles they have chosen to lead - its really up to a person whether gay or not to be as good a parent as what others think they can not be - so therefore, it should not and also, the most important fact to ponder is when that child grows up or when they are growing up, will that parent force them to choose between a certain lifestyle or to be who they would like to be - or again, would that child be confused with misconceptions of sexuality because the world is telling them ' THEY ARE WRONG' when their parnets are telling them 'THEY ARE DIFFERENT!

There is no law which prevents anyone from becoming a parent, but there are laws on the books set up to protect children that could take into account sex crimes. If you mean whether a parent is homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, or transgendered, then no. One's sexual orientation has nothing to do with being a good and loving parent.

No, a person's sexuality has nothing to do with their ability to love a child and provide a good home.

That would be like saying a persons career determines his or her ability to be a good parent. Are there any strippers that are good parents? Are there any 3rd grade teachers that are bad parents? I know several married "man-women" couples that are bad parents.

Because accidental pregnancies are pretty rare amongst lesbians and impossible for gay men, those who become parents do so after long consideration and usually with a good bit of effort. Would that all parents had such commitment.

no, i believe if you can provide a good home for a child, and if your psychological state is in excellent condition. Why not? We have too many children being raised by the system for us to try and discriminate against homosexuals, We need to see if they are murderers or pedophiles.

There are no studies not done by religious extremists that have proven that gay or bisexual parents cause any more trauma to a child than heterosexual ones.
