A bit of both, trust me sunshine all the time can get really frustrating, I live in a place which has sunshine year round and on occasional rains or cool temperature, people literally ahve clebrations .......

Hmmm this is one of the reasons i like the place i live. I think the mediterrenean is blessed in that aspect: A LOT of sunshine in every season and very low humidity, even though it can get pretty cold and there is rain and snow as well every now and then. I have lived for years in different climates and i definetely go for sunshine. But not tropical!!! That's too humid for my bones, plus i really like having all four seasons.

Well Seattle is a pretty city, but they only have a few days of sunshine every year...that can get to be depressing...I don't need anything tropical, but I prefer nice sunny weather

You need them both, without the rain everything is dry and lifeless and without the sun life is dull. Plants need air water and sunshine surely humans need them too.
