Well, I suppose you mean STRAIGHT as in, not homosexual.
To be honest it doesn't matter anymore. The rule that 'left is right and right is wrong' is really outdated. A piercing does not determine sexual orientation and people who go by that rule are still stuck in a 50s mindset. Get either ear pierced or both, its really up to you and what you like. (Lots of piercings now have hidden meanings and supposedly determine things about you. Example: not everyone with a tongue piercing did it for oral sex. Not everyone with a genital piercing is a nympho or sexual deviant)
If you are THAT worried about what people might say about you, then I would consider another piercing.

Unless you live in the back woods it shouldn't matter. It used to be straight people pierced the left ear.

Most guys get both done now days ( I personally love it). One earring on a guy is an old man thing, you see alot of old bikers or o.g's with the one and it looks silly since it is so common for both to be done.

there's a saying- only two types of men wear earrings. Poofs and pirates.
Though that was from the 'olden' days when 'you could leave your back doors unlocked' and everyone thought it was okay to use to racist terminology- but only if you were polite whilst saying it.

Whichever ones you want. Piercings have lost a lot of their "symbolism" since they've become popular.

That rumor was way back in the day. I remember being in 5th grade and hearing that. That was 14 years ago. It doesn't matter...whatever you want.

i don't think it matters. I have a lot of straight and gay friends who have piercings, and there's really no sexual orientation rule!

honestly I don't think it matters anymore. girls like gay guys, and well i see guys with both pierced. society today just doesn't care whether you're gay or not, we just shun them for marriage for some reason. hypocritical eh?
