What...no Fraggle Rock?
I have to go with The Muppets myself. Sesame Street has become a political quagmire with "One of These Things Doesn't Belong Here", and Snuffaluffagus being seen by everyone, and the whole Ernie and Bert relationship question.
The Muppets are about vaudeville performances with a semi-big guest star each week. Of course they do have inter-racial dating (frogs and pigs), but that has become an accepted norm in today's society.

Sesame Street is a very outstanding program but than so is the Muppet's - I really like Mr. Rodgers - but for a little baby the colors and movement of the Muppet's is probably more entertaining and fun.
