Not sure what you're asking -- are you talking about a person or a group that personifies heavy metal? If I had to choose a person as the all-time king of heavy metal, that choice is obvious -- Ozzy. If I had to choose a band to place on top of the heavy metal mountain, my vote would go to the band whose name has been synonymous with heavy metal for over two decades -- Judas Priest.

1. Alice Cooper
2. Black Sabbath (with Ozzy)
3. Metallica (Kill em All) with Cliff Burton on Bass!!

If you are talking about a singer then that would have to be Ozzy. I mean he has been doing it since the late 60's. As for guitarist that is a tough one. It would be a toss up between Zakk Wylde, Dimond Darrell, or Randy Rhodes. It's a shame that Dimond and Randy aren't alive anymore. They put out some kick *** music in thier time.

Pantera is pretty good. But the old Metallica was way more popular. New Metallica sucks.

I'm not sure if I can pick just one...let's see...I enjoy Disturbed, Evergrey, At the Gates, Brides of Destruction, Chimaira, Flaw, Him, Mudvayne, Nightwish, Pantera (of course), Rage Against the Machine, Rammstein, Sepultra, Slipknot, System of a Down, & Tool. That's just what I can think of. I don't think I can pick just one of these. I really do think I like them equally. Great question, though~
