Seriously? We all know the egg came first.

Okay. All cellular change takes place on an embryonic level......so we know the egg came first and the creature that laid the first chicken egg was not quite a chicken. I posted this question in biology.....not religion.....

Actually neither came first, they both developed together simultaneously. Now if you are equating the egg with a single celled animal I can see how you arive at that conclusion, however, a single celled animal might also be viewed as 'the chicken'... Animals, sexual reproduction and the means they use to bear young all developed thru evolution in a gradual process. It wasn't a case of a chicken or an egg developing first and then everything following from there.

No, we don't. If you've learned anything from science, it's that the best you can do when you can't physically test something, is to make an educated guess. Theories such as this are only true in relative terms. Relative to our understanding of the universe, there is a gravitational force that keeps us on the Earth. Perhaps elsewhere, some other lifeform knows otherwise.

You can't prove a chicken came first, therefore others can be free to believe what they want.

A rooster could have come out of an egg. inspite of the undeniable fact that, the egg could have been laid by some thing that wasn't a rooster yet. the 1st rooster more desirable right into a rooster interior the egg. it could no longer have replaced species outdoors of the egg. to that end, the egg could have come first. yet differently to look at it: Say, the egg is male and the rooster is lady as a results of fact purely females lay eggs. on your experience, who comes first the male or the female? ;-)

If you wanna get technical the egg didn't come first. In christianity god created all creatures first. It said it in the bible. So God created the chicken who hatched the first egg. So the chicken came first. Now if you aren't a christain believe whatever you will. I could care either way. But you would need to create chickens first because if you just set out an egg who will fertialize it?

God said, "I think I'll create something with feathers... maybe it should *cluck*... probably no flying... yeah-- I think I'll call it a chicken."

Except He couldn't just put an egg down on Earth because there wouldn't be a nice, warm, mommy chicken to watch over the egg. So he put a couple (literally-- 1 male and 1 female... maybe more, who knows.) of these chickens down on earth.

TaDa!! Instant chickenage!

I'd rather to answer this philosophically.
The question itself is very important, it represent everything in this world, which come first bad people of bad environment, etc..etc..
the answer is it doesn't matter, neither one can exist without the other. both has its purpose to create the other, and if the other doesn't exist, there's no need for the other one to exist.

Chicken came first. Just like in the beginning, when God created Adam and Eve, they didn't start as babies..they started as adults..

well that's my opinion :)
