No. Not right now for several reasons.

1. It is logistically impossible. The equipment and manpower needed just to transport people to outerspace is immensely expensive and time consuming. To ship all the quipment needed to support life there would be even more so. At the current speed of most of our current space shuttles it would take decades to reach the outer areas of our solar system let alone go further into our galaxy.

2. Many of the planets and moons of just our solar system alone don't have an atmosphere that could support life. To live there would mean having to build from the ground up a large scale artificial atmosphere the likes of which currently only exists in saturday morning cartoons and sci-fi novels.

3. Once we have gotten there we would need to build the infrastructure completely from scratch. Things like housing, roads, buildings, and utilities like sewage, plumbing, air conditioning, and electrical systems will all need to be built and running.

4. Is there really a reason to do it other than just saying we did it. To convince anyone with control of the purse that colonizing space is even sane let alone remotely feasible is going to be pretty difficult. Torquing up taxes to pay for it is out of the question and Banks and investors pretty much only lend money if they foresee an immediate and large return on their investment.

5. With all the problems we have here on earth the money would be better spent dealing with our own problems now instead of creating new ones somewhere else.

Yes... we do...
Now we have to save money to create a conservation society for space not colonized, National Space Parks and Recreation. Department of Space Management. By the time we get enough committees and society deals with all the stupidity... We won't have the money anymore.
