Finals are all next week, from Dec 11-15th. However, all THIS week I have tests in all my classes. How am I supposed to study for THESE tests this week (to include a microbiology test on the last day of class) and then turn around and start finals the following Monday. I've heard of "dead weeks" at most colleges. Where did mine go?

wow, that does suck - especially for hard classes like microbiology. At my school, we usually end up taking our finals during the last week of classes. That way during finals week, we have basically started winter break already. Maybe you should talk to your professors next quarter/semester and ask that they don't schedule the exams that way. I'm sure if you took a class vote, other students would back you up.

As for now, there is nothing you can really do other than get stressed out, pull all-nighters and study. Good luck!

Sounds to me like you have a bunch of lame-*** professors. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Do you think that the tests you have this week will be reviewed once again in your finals? Maybe you'll only have to study once for both tests and then do a quick review for other stuff you covered at the beginning of the semester. I feel your pain though- my junior year of college, I had quite a few teachers who were mean enough to assign me a final project (due the week before finals) AND a traditional final exam. It was rough!!! Just remember, Starbucks is a friend, not a foe, and Snickers bars and a Dr Pepper right before testing really do improve your brain power, it's not a myth.

So where have you been all semester? If you actually learned anything, then all you'll need to do is a bit of review. If you spent all your time obsessing over scores instead of actually learning the material, then you might want to re-evaluate whether you should be where you are.

Believe me...it sounds like you will be "dead" at the end of the week.

You suck it up and just do it. I have finals this week AND next week. I have two finals today, and I am not complaining. You have to manage your time wisely.
