Help, I am due in 6 weeks to give birth and we can not agree to on a baby name. I have a 6 year who is not my husband's son, but they share the same name( my son is named after my late grandfather) . The issue is that my husband wants a jr. I told her we can not do that . Does any one have any ideas?

That's a tough one, I understand your husbands desire for a Jr. but seeing how it was an odd coincidence that your son already had his name it is not an option. It would not be fair to your son or the new baby. Maybe reversing your husbands name? Use his middle name as the first and first as the middle? Or maybe just call the younger son Junior, ha ha ha.

My husband and I had a similar problem. He wanted to name our son (9 days old) Elmer, after his grandfather. As great of a man as Elmer was, naming a child Elmer in this day and age is like placing a giant "Go ahead and shove me in a locker" sign on his back. We couldn't agree on any other names (my husband refused to even try.) So I suggested wrtting down 5 names each and placing them in a hat. We gave it a shake and picked a name. He put Elmer in the hat...but the odds were in my favor. The name we chose was a name my husband put in the hat, so he felt better even though it wasn't Elmer. My son did however receive his father's middle name as his own middle name.

My husband wanted a Jr. too but he didn't get it. You both made the child & you should both agree on the name.
We compromised. I wanted to name my son after my dad.
We used my husbands name first & my dads name second.
We did it that way because the flow of the name sounded better that way.

Well i think that it is the woman's right in naming the baby whatever she wants since she is the one who will be in all the pain of having the baby.
I named my son what i wanted not what my husband wanted.

You could try this: http://www.babynames.com

Boy Names:
Kennedy
Torrence
Breyer
Caden
Malachi
Kendall
Lofton
Jamison
Julian (Love this name- My son's name)
Jadence

Landon

Good luck and congrats

That would be strange to have 2 kids named the same thing--I wouldn't do it! Find a name similar to you hubby's or something that means the same thing. Or use your husband's middle name.

Maybe you could give him your husbands name, but called him by a nick name to avoid (to much) confusion.
