You don't want much for your 5 points do you?!?!?!

Firstly they live in shared accommodation as well as University accommodation, this can be a house/ flat/ Bedsit. This is very common for students.

Pay depends on location, Size of house/ Room and facilities, Range from about £75 per week - £175 per week for a room in a shared house.

Try Gumtree.com for shared accommodation.

There are student halls, but I am pretty sure that you cannot stay all 3 years in a hall - you have to move out for 1 year - that usually means sharing - it is difficult to say how much because it is much dependent on the area and size of the flat/house. can go from £80 per week to £250 per week... or more. £80 would probably mean sharing a room as well...
Finding an apartment is more difficult than finding to share. There are local papers with adds but you have to be quick.

They live wherever they want to. It's not like the Government has designated one area of London for students. Mind you it would be great for the local pubs if they did! There are some student halls but I think they are only guaranteed for the 1st year of study. Most students flat/house share and rent. I would imagine it depends what money you have and you find something to match that. www.gumtree.com often has flatshares available on it.

Some students live in their university halls of residence, some live at home with their parents and some live in rented accomodation.
University halls of residence in London cost around £90-£100 per week

Usually a shared apartment somewhere around Islington or Old Street. A shared apartment will be around 500 pounds per month (each), and it'll be small. It shouldn't be too hard to find one.
