Absolutely! Try living temporarily in Georgia, Mississippi,Arkansas. Racial epithets are part of the daily language. They justify the racism. It permeates the air and is apparent within the school systems, stores, churches, everywhere. It has been our misfortune to be assigned to these states after living in the West coast. For all of the modern conveniences it is like taking a walk in the past for the mentality is still that of the one that existed during Martin Luther King's era. Racial profiling in the smaller towns is rampant. Teens who are of minority origin are routinely harassed by the local law enforcement while the "Caucasian" youths are pat on the backs and ignored. While the racism exisits in the larger cities as well there is a larger minority population and thus the discrimination isn't as prevalent. Currently the movement of hate has been in a forward motion toward the hispanic populace . It is a disgusting and shameful part of the USA and I can only be happy that each move is temporary. Southern Hospitality is only given to those whom are the "right" color in those states.

Of course. Where ever there are mixed ethnic groups there is racial discrimination. We are all victims of racial discrimination whether we be red, yellow, black or white. Some is just more blatant and publicized than others. It is also more acceptable to discriminate against whites for example. i know, I know you don't believe that but it's true! Think about it.

Sure there is, but there's also racial discrimination against whites, Asians, Hispanics; you name the ethnic group and there's SOMEONE out there discriminating against them. Problem is the mainstream media is trying to tell us that the white race holds the monopoly on racism and discrimination. Not true. African-Americans can be every bit as racist and discriminatory as whites. Ditto that for Hispanics, Asians...you get the idea. We've come a long way in the last 140 years, but we still have a long way to go.

Unfortunately there is still racial discrimination in every form and fashion against every different race. It's simply the fact that our human nature renders us intolerant of one another. I think the first mistake we make is simply narrowing it to blacks. Of course there is racial discrimiation against them, but there is also discrimination against American Indians, Latinos, Asian Americans, and the list goes on. No matter what people like to believe, even against white people, even if it's only in the form of automatically believing they must be racist. No matter who a person is or what they look like, someone will always find something wrong with them.

Sure. People discriminate against other people for all types of reasons. Everyone does it. If they say they don't, well then they are "truth challenged".
For example, did you ever find yourself dashing to open a door for a person in a wheelchair? I have. That's discriminating against the handicapped, because it's an action I do, soley based on their condition (I don't run to get in front of people I think are NOT handicapped to open a door for them). See? My actions are different because of their condition or trait.
The same thing with women. I am a male, and I will tend to help a female with a large package (or offer to), if I see her struggling with it when loading it in her car in the parking lot. I don't do that for men. The stereotype of a female is that she has less strength than a man, so I help them out.
And, blacks. Yes, blacks. I get a little anxious if I am in a bad section of town, getting money out of an ATM and a black person approaches me. I don't have that same concern in a part of town that has mostly whites.
These are all discriminations. We act or treat people differently because of a trait or a condition.
Are they bad? Nope, not a one of them.

an fairly racist assertion, yet all people has an opinion. the final public of people is Whites at 70% on a similar time as Hispanics 13 and Afican American s at 12%. visit Texas and notice how lots of the Minutemen are Black or to Arizona and notice what share are black. There are som highway gangs in California that combat one yet another, yet honsestly your assertion is ignorant and sounds hateful.

No, there isn't. A lot of people like to claim there is, for the attention and publicity. But in all actuality, with affirmative action and special programs galore, the only ones getting discriminated against is the white male.

not just in the US, but in countries where the majority are non-blacks.
the sad thing in the States is, there has been so much brouhaha about the discrimination against blacks. but if youd learn history, the native americans are more badly discriminated against with, yet they were in your land first before whites & blacks did. . it's just that blacks seems to have accomplished more nowadays so they wanted more respect. but i think everybody deserve to be treated equal no matter what color or ethinicity you are.
sometimes people dont just stop at EQUALITY- they want SUPREMACY.

yes there is and people are confusing the question by saying black people are just as racist..being racist isnt just black or white...all races experience this sadly.....so lets not just limit this to black and white and realize that it involves everyone..this isn t the 40's 50's or 60's anymore i as a black woman yes do at times get discriminated againts sometimes but im not gonna just sit and act like its the end of the world i know i have endless opportunities regardless.... but it is sad when your judged by ur skin color and yes it hurts.......
