Electricity is all about the flow of electrons from a high potential (+) to a low potential (-). Batteries work by creating a chemical reaction between a positively charged node and a negative or neutral node. Electrons in a battery flow from (+) to (-) until the charges on each node are equal. When the charges on the nodes are equal, there is no flow and the battery is dead.
