If its an mpeg movie, you can try to burn the movie as a special Video CD in Nero.
Since Video CDs don't use the bits normally used for error correction, you can fit more data on the CD than normally possible.
However i think its still not possible to get 950 MB on a 700 MB cd. Try if your burner is compatible with 99 min 800 MB cds. This could fit an mpeg movie of that size.
However if its not an mpeg movie, then you must find another way to reduce the size of your files.

The most you can fit on a 700mb CD is 700mb. You will need to either split the 950mb of files across two CDs, or if it is a single file that size, use a program like WinZIP to compress the file and then save the smaller compressed version onto the CD.
Also most CD burning software has the ability to "span" CDs, meaning it will write part of a large file to one CD, and when that CD is done, prompt you to insert a second CD for the rest of the file. When you put a spanned CD in to your CD drive, it will copy the part of the file on it to your hard drive, and then prompt you for the second CD. IT uses that one to complete the copying of the full file back to your hard drive.

Compression or ziping them would work unless already that way. Win zip is free, a good pgm. Compressed files take up a lot less space and should work here.

Unfortunately you would have to figure out some way to compress the data to fit. Start with Winzip, Winrar, etc

if it's music - convert the files to a smaller bitrate -
example - if the files are in 192 bitrate - convert them down to 128 bitrate
that will make the file size smaller
