I thought it was a great show and the even showed re-runs on the Sci Fi channel. They did one whole season, but it never came back on and I haven't heard a thing about it. Does anyone know the scoop and di you guys like the show?

Surface is "on hiatus" that means that it didn't get enough good reviews to guarantee it a season two, as well as being a very costly show without a supporting budget.

Unfortunately, any television show that goes on "hiatus" almost never returns. So I'd say it's leaning more towards being cancelled. Though many factors can determine a new season. Possibly if dvd sales are high it might stand a better chance.

Surface has sadly ended. I enjoyed the show a lot.

It is out on DVD. I just saw a few copies at Best Buy the other day, so it isn't hard to find.

Sometimes Sci-Fi will have daily marathons of Surface (ALL day!). The last one was a few months ago, so I expect there should be one before too long. Sci-Fi currently does not have any airings as of December or January, but maybe beyond that they will.

That is a link to Sci-Fi's schedule. Every once and again, hop on there and do a search for Surface.

NBC waited until the last possible moment, but they wound up giving the show the axe. Jonas Pate, the show's creator, has mentioned in interviews that he hasn't given up on the show. Also, the NBC exec responible for cancelling the show has commented publicly about the huge number of complaints he has received from Surface fans. Sorry, but it went the way of Threshold and Invasion. Personally, I thought all 3 shows were good, but the network suits never give anything time because they are all into instant gratification. If they'd give a show time (not to mention some of the advertising budget), maybe they'd gain an audience.

Most NBC shows are horrible, in my opinion.
Especially Sci-Fi.
Ugh.

But hope it comes back on for you.
