My husband is a carpet and vinyl floor guy and he said to use turpentine or mineral spirits, it will come right off. Trust me he got some on our floor in the entryway. It works.

We just remodeled and had the same problem. The professional installer recommended and uses WD40.

Just spray on and wipe off with a soft cloth or sponge.

It really works and won't ruin your no wax floor!

Happy scrubbing!

The best thing I found, and I tried EVERYTHING just about, was finger nail polish remover. It didn't strip the shine from my floor either. So I don't know if I would use pure acetone. The nail polish remover I used was acetone free. It worked well with very little elbow grease.

Goof-off. It's a product u can find in a hardware store. It works great! Doesn't stink up the place either.
