As long as the sperm reaches the egg when you have sex, that's it. A sperm travells 18 inches per hour, and I guess it wont travel so long because the walls of the uterus have cillia (hair) like structure that helps the sperm move faster. about 15 mins... I guess.

If you are ovulating then instantly, but if you have sex a few days before you are ovulating then the sperm can stay living in your for 3 to 5 days on average and be waiting for the egg., So you dont necessarily have to get pregnant the same day you have sex. It can happen a few days after too.

Usually a pregnancy test will show up after 10 days if it is a blood test. Good luck

It differs. It took me and my husband a year to get pregnant.
Some people get pregnant the first time they try while others may take months or even years.

Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.
