Cramping is normal in menopause because you may have a few more menses in you. It is not uncommon to have a period then not for months, then on again, or bleed for a day then not. It's all irregular in menopause. Whether constant cramping is normal I can't say. Try hot water bottle, heating pad to lower abdomen, Tylenol, and exercises for lower abdomen to decrease pain.. Get some Siberian Ginseng to help with symptoms of hot flashes, aches, and depression. Start taking calcium daily to prevent osteoporosis which occurs over time but can begin before menopause. Decrease calories, and increase exercise because there is a tendency to gain weight at this time...If any of your symptoms are too uncomfortable see your doctor and talk about hormone replacement....Take the lowest dose needed to make symptoms tolerable because there are serious side effects, like heart disease, increased cholesterol, and breast cancer to name a few. This may take a year or two to resolve so be patient and let your partner know what is going on because you will have mood swings with less estrogen in your system....Best of health to you......

At your age, it is most likely only a transitority hormone imbalance. All the 'signs' of menopause are rather the influence of alterations in a lady's hormones, so a few random fluctuation would produce identical outcome although you are no longer truthfully going by way of meopause. If you are rather concerned, and your interval is not constant (and I do not imply 'like common' I simply imply 'the identical for a couple of instances') in a pair months investigate together with your physician.

The cramping that you may be feeling is the uterine wall shedding. I have had cramps all my life if you are just getting them now then you are very lucky,(take ibuprofen) but during menopause your hormones are going crazy, one month you may bleed like a stuffed pig and nothing for several months this may be going on until your middle 50,s (yes you can still get pregnant) there are a lot a menopause babies out there. I have been going through peri-menopause myself hormones flying everywhere. good luck men are lucky they don't have to go through this.

i'm the same age - same stuff going on with me - all kinds of things happen to you during menopause, however you should still be going to your doctor for annual checkups or more often if you feel like something is not right.
