My teacher gave the following percentage for calculated our grade (I am not going to list my score or the type of assignment, just the possible point and percentage of grade)

Possible Points Percentage of grade
480 35%
195 15%
295 40%
100 10%

How do I plug in my points (not the possible points) to figure out my grade?

Okay...lets say you got a 400 in the 480 category. divide to get a score...400/480=.83. (move decimal 2 places to right and round) Do that with your scores for each category. Then take that number and multiply by the decimal equivalent of the percent. 83 x .35= 29.05....so for the first section, you would have 29 pts. Do that for each section and add the number of points to get an approximate grade.

Let me do another example.
lets say you have the following points
400/480
163/195
229/295
100/100

first do your division...(you have to move the decimal place 2 spaces to the right and round)
400/480=83
163/195=84
229/295=78
100/100= 100

Next, take those numbers and multiply by the percentages
83 x .35= 29
84 x .15= 12.6
78 x .4= 31.2
100 x .1= 10

Now add those numbers
29 + 12.6 + 31.2 + 10 = 82.8

Okay here's what you do. Figure out your score for each of those four by dividing the amount of points you got by the amount of possible points. Let's say for the first you scored 456 out of 480. 456/480 = .92 which is 92%. After you figure out all 4, multiply your result by these numbers:
For 480 - 35%, multiply by 7
For 195 - 15%, multiply by 3
For 295 - 40%, multiply by 8
For 100 - 10%, multiply by 2
Add up your four results, and then divide by 20. Your answer is your grade. For example:

Let's say you've got a 92% for the first, 85% for the 2nd, 88% for the 3rd and 74% for the last.

(92 * 7) = 644
(85 * 3) = 255
(88 * 8) = 704
(74 * 2) = 148
-------------------
1751 / 20 = 87.55% is your grade!

P.S. if your teacher doesn't round, I wouldn't round either when figuring it out!

properly i thnk you're able to tern them into decimals and calculate in EX.(say you acquire an A on a try) .60 x 4= sparkling! and then in simple terms upload them up and then divide by employing the finished style of grades!! I THNK I RLLY DONT undergo in concepts however
