Usually at this age, they just sleep and eat. My son however was very allert most of the daytime. I just played with him or took him out for walks when he was awake during the day. Most babies are not awake for more than an hour to 2 at a time before they fall asleep again. Playing with you baby with rattles and reading to them, showing pictures helps.

At 3 months my son was sleeping a lot. I am a stay at home mom taking some online classes. If I was trying to take a class and my son was awake I would either put him in the swing (best invention ever) or I would put him in the bouncer. He also had some little elmo thing with lots of lights that he could lay under and watch. I would have him right next to me so I could kind of play with him and talk to him so I wasn't feeling like I was neglecting him. If I wasn't doing my school work or cleaning the house and he was awake I would sit him next to me or hold him and just enjoy him like talking to him, cooing at him, playing with him and just watching him. Now that he's 5 months he's awake a lot more but he LOVES being in the exersaucer!

put the baby in the stroller when you are watching tv have your baby on you and talk to him/her during commercials, talk to the baby..what I do is feed my baby change her and then play wiht her for an hour by talking to her or reading to her then its my time for a couple hours after that because she goes to sleep. Or put the baby in her swing, give her jungle gym like toys to play with that keeps my baby occupied, and at every feeding I do the play, change, and feed for an hour and that i hope keeps her somewhat stimulated.,..plus her dad will take her and play with her for a couple hours daily because he doesnt see her much during the day while hes working and doing other work related stuff.

At 3 months old babies mostly just eat and sleep. When they are awake, they just look around and take in their surroundings. Their hearing and sight are becoming more defined and they start to notice their hands and feet. There is little you have to do with a 3 month old baby. Even though it may look like they are just sitting there doing nothing, they tend to keep themselves pretty busy.

When my twins were that age, there were times i thought i would never figure out what to do with them, even though they slept most of the day still! I had a lot of entertaining things for them, their swings, bouncers, musical toys ect. I also sometimes let them fuss and figure things out on their own. They started to really enjoy being on their stomachs too at that age. They would lay on the floor with toys around them and talk and amuse themselves. Your baby will find things to do on his/her own but make sure to give plenty of mommy baby time too! Its a fun age, when they start to really responde to being played with! I miss it!!

Talk to baby, sing to baby, dance with baby. I have 4 month old and when she isn't sleeping she is real easy to entertain.

well you could if you want to spoil them but if not get a bouncer or a baby swing and let them set by themselves for a hour if you have to also its a good time to start introducing toys to help them learn how to use there hand muscles

my daughter just turned 4months yesterday. When she was three months old i would tickle her, play pattie cake with her, and just talk to her and she would coo back. Normally at this age they like to sleep and eat. When your child is awake why dont you tickle him/her. Another thing you can do is get them a rattle or a lamaze toy from toys r us and he/she can have fun with it. i have one of them for my daughter and she loves it. I hope you take my advice and have fun with your child.
