It's Sir Donald to you Mister.

Bradman's record

Average - never to be challenged 99.94

Beyond any argument, the greatest batsman who ever lived and the greatest cricketer of the 20th century.

Remember this is the guy who England were so completely useless against they had to bowl to his body on the full, beam balls they are called today - simply to beat him. "Bodyline" -
.....and he still averaged 56 in the series - 56!

Sunil's average for his career is 51.12.

Want more proof. He scored 29 100s in 52 matches - average of a century every 1.8 matches.

Gavaskar 34 in 125 - every 3.6 matches.

In fact in Bradman played 125 Tests and scored at the same rate he would have socred 16,187 runs and had 69 100s.

Not saying Sunil isn't a great player, he's an absolute legend but you can't argue he is better than Bradman.

Going by stats, the best batsman is Don Bradman. I would say that if we say Sunil Gavaskar is the greatest of all the time, it is simply because we haven't seen Bradman playing! However Sunil is among the best, but not the greatest ever.
Lara - has been, Sachin - has been.
Current stats point only to one and only one player - Ricky Ponting.

Well it seems you have answered by giving your opinion that suni was better than Bradman. Ridiculous suggestion, despite suni's brilliance.
Bradman was awesome beyond measure, no one has ever approached his feats.
In the modern game it is without doubt Ricky Ponting, his recent efforts are absolutely supurb. Over 1400 runs in the last 12 months at an average of 78+, and if he can score 2 more centuries in the remaining two tests this year, he can surpass the record only recently set by yousef of 9 centuries in a year.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, without any argument, is still regarded as the best batsmen in the world. Even he is not playing like he did in the past, the "Little Master" SR Tendulkar is truly genius and he is the best among the best. Lara and Pointing are good batsmen and they deserve to be one of the great but i would rate Tendulkar as the best batsmen in the world even better than Lara and Pointing.

Even if you're best batsman in the world you need to acclimatize you self with the condition of the pitch, wind factor and also the light. So if you are unlucky you might judge a ball and get out too quickly. They say that once you get settled the ball looks a lot bigger and it becomes easy to hit the ball at your will. Once you connect the ball on the middle of the bat your confidence also grows. Anything bad happens to a batsman in the first couple of overs that he faces.
