Well college athletes should have their school paid for but they should not be paid for playing a sport at their school. Professionals should be paid for playing, but not students. Students need to concentrate on studies not on where they can make the most money for playing on a college team. Also, if you paid a student it would be a conflict of interest. If they are doing great in school and not so great on the field, what do you do, fire them?. What if they are great on the field but don't give a crap about school? Your paying them to play, not study. College athletes should not be paid beyond scholarships.

NO! If they start getting paid, then it will lead to HS athletes to be paid as well.

In a sense they are being paid. Some athletes are so good that they are able to get full rides based on their athletic abilities.
