Don't take him out. If he is sick he is sick. Just going to give it to someone else.
My son had a break through seizure while out, throwing up etc. People were so cruel!! Saying things like why did you bring your child to the store sick etc. Then is when I realized peeps do not want a sick kid out and about. Of course we never know when this child is going to get sick, but you get my drift....

If he has a cold, I'd limit his outings until it clears up a bit. Just as it bothers you to go from hot to cold when you are not feeling well, the baby will be affected also. If you absolutely must take him out, make sure that you warm the car before putting him in and bundle him up well.

If you must take him with you then it will probably be ok. I wouldn't take him for a leisure shopping trip though because he doesn't need to be out in the cold. But if you need groceries or something and you have no one to help watch him then you really dont have a choice. In that case I think he will be fine.

Is it a bad cold or just a cold. Either way you have to go to the store to get medicine for him right. Just make sure he is bundled up good and be on your way.

i just took my son to the emergency room yesterday for a really high fever and croup cough...(he's only 8mnths) they told me that cold temperatures don't cause the virus...it only supresses the immune system more and makes it harder for their little bodies to fight colds/flu...they suggested only to take him out if i absolutely had too. And that if he's still running a fever, not to bundle him up too much....but make sure the car is warm b4 leaving. they told me to dress him lighter than normal when he has a fever cause it can cause it to spike up even more and cause seizures. Hope this helps

I would say that a quick trip (in a warmed up car) would be ok,
Giving him a scarf to use wouldn't be a bad idea either.

We recently tried Airborne (R) for the first time, and I now swear by it... Get some on the trip...

No, he is not immune to reinfection. There are tons of people at the market who have colds.
