I don't think so....I think that since we are tilting the head back it almost makes it impossible to keep the mouth shut...

When but mascara on my mouth is always closed. But one reason I believe some woma do it with there mouth open is because they want to make sure that when they put it on it is in the right place and not all over there eyes.

Because the skin under the eye gets mascara on it if you don't stretch it out.
Man I'm glad my hubby doesn't watch me when i do my makeup! LOL

i dont understand the respond however the different day i found out that i DONT open my mouth as quickly as I placed on mascara (or eyeliner for that be counted) and that i dont understand why i dont cuz all and sundry else does... weeeeeeeeird!

I put it on with my mouth close, in t.v. shows and movies they are like :O, but thats not really how it goes down.

Looool i always have my mouth closed when i use mascara, i think u should have more control of ur reflexis

it puts tension on the facial muscles, so its harder to blink before it dries and gets everywhere. also true for contacts, helps keep your eyes open so you can get them in without first flipping them out of your eye and ending very frustrated.
