I am a huge fan of romantic music. I love Rachmaninoff's 28 preludes on a Theme of Paganini. Then there's "La Campanella" which is amazing...both on piano and violin. For Symphonies...New World, Scheherezade, and Shostakovich's 5th are among my favorites, as well as Pictures at an Exhibition. For solo violin, I love the Vitali Chaconne (a romantically-baroque piece), Bruch's Scottish Fantasy, and Dvorak's Violin concerto. Dvorak and Elgar's Cello concertos are among the best that there are.

At the moment, my favorite classical piece is the three-part "Sonatine" by Maurice Ravel.

Either Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" on the piano or Pachelbel's "Canon in D" in strings, not piano.
