The cassette player adapter is the mosrt simple method. Radio transmitters such as itrip can suffer from interference at times. The best (but more costly) method is to replace your factory stereo with an ipod ready system. There are a number of models from Alpine, Kenwood etc which allow for you to plug your ipod via the USB (usually in the glove box). You can then control your ipod using the in-dash controls of your car stereo. The same stereos will also handle XM or Sirius, AM/FM as well as play CDs.

Buy the cassette attachment. This way you don't have to worry about FM-signal problems you encounter when you use a transmitter to utilize your I-pod. The I-Pod is a cool device, but why haven't they come up with an easy-inexpensive solution to feed content into your car's audio system. The FM thing reminds me of the crappy transmitters drive-in theaters used in the 70's.

If you have a cassette player in your car, your best bet is to use that. It gives you the clearest sound without any static or fuzz like most fm transmitters do. Dont get me wrong there are very goof transmitters out there, but about 4 to be precise that are really good for iPods.

It depends how much time you are in your car!?
The Cassette attachment is Fine(If you don't use Cassettes).
Plus it's a Little Obtrusive.
The other Option is a Kensington RDS FM Transmitter/Car Charger!
This works great for me and Looks Good too!

the cassette option works very well and is fairly easy to use and very low cost. T
he other option is to get an FM transmitter available from anyone selling IPod accesories, this gives you more flexibility to play it anywhere there is an FM radio available. The best option might be to consider the IPod car adapter with built in FM transmitter available form BestBuy there are various models available.

Some of the more Pricey Fm transmitters are good, you can always get a new sterero for your car with an aux, but It'll set you back a couple hundred, plus instalation, unless you figure it out

Cassett adapters work great but have a tendacy of not working if the radio/tape deck has AUTO REVERSE. If you try it and all it does is make a clicking noise, then the auto reverse sensor is preventing it from doing its job. You will then need to get an FM transmitter that plugs into your IPod and then it transmits to the radio on a station you select. (available at your local Radio Shack)

on a budget, get a cassette adapter if you have a cassette player. It sounds good, but it has the cord to go with it. I tried a fm modulator, and it's not that clear, some static.

If you have more dough, try getting the harmon kardon ipod adapter...........looks sweet.

belkin has 2 fm transmitters one is set with 3 preset frequencies and the more expensive one has a digital readout that you can place your own and has like 4 presets of your liking depending on you area. runs on AA or AAA and the more expensive one comes with an car adapter plug (nice in the winter months) when your car sits in 10 degrees all night. the latter one worked great for me with my PDA.
