let see here 24 x 3 = 72 hours non stop
then a few 8 x 2 = 16 x 4 = 56
56 +72 = 128 work week was my longest

so that worked out to be 40 hours regular pay and 88 hours overtime..not a bad check , but uncle SAM got a large piece that week..

forced over time
the 3 days straight , even though the gave us an hour or two to sleep we were still on the clock and on call..

good luck

I worked an 18 hour day a couple of times when in my teens. I was helping my father on a job. Longest work week was working 15 days in a row, about 10 hours a day.

My longest workday was 27 hours. I got to work at 0630 and didn't get to leave until 0930 the next day. The Army does that often. My longest workweek was about 65 hours, when we were getting ready for a month-long deployment to the National Training Center in CA.

While I was in Iraq with the US Army, my teammates and I would often work for 24 to 72 hours straight. As for the longest week, also while in Iraq, we usually worked every day. A day off did not come very often. Now that I am out it sure makes 40+ hour weeks in the civilian world seem like a breeze.

One year at Christmas, I worked 24 hours straight between 3 stores because we were paid double time and a half. My family had made a trip to Austin, so I was at home by myself anyway. I must have drank four pots of coffee, and by the time it was over I asked myself if it was really worth it. I know some professions that you can work 36 hours straight and have the rest of the week off, but I question the wisdom of that because a person is not at peak performance.

This was years ago before I had kids, but I use to work in group homes and the staff would always be calling off, i worked 32 hours straight through. I wasnt suppose to sleep, but they let me under the cirumstances, I only slept for about 4 hours though. I also got about 88 hours for one week. I use to make so much money back then. Now I have children And I can't do that!

Ever..wow, I worked a 39 hour shift once. I was in the military and our communications euipment lost power. Let's just say it took a looooong time to restore everything. One of the worst days of my life.

I regularly worked 12 hour shifts 7 days a week while serving. But alot of those shifts ended up being 13 or 14 hours long.

I needed to make my deadline at the office which was the next day. I got to work at 6am and finished at 8.30pm making a total of 14 and a half hours. I was pretty exhausted.

Not sure about longest work week.
