i have a 14 month old and haven't worked since before i got pregnant. i've looked on the internet but need help. are there any legit companies out there that don't require me to send Them money? if so, where are they and how do i do it? does this sound like a good idea? and also how bad/necessary is it that we get help like food stamps, etc? rent/car insurance/food is so high here. i'm newly married with a toddler and since moving here haven't made one friend in 6 months..what should i do-we cant even afford x-mas gifts for each other, only our toddler? i don't want to be in the poverty category! help!

Work at home stuff tends to be scams. Apply at your local Red Cross for Christmas gifts for your kids, and their food pantry. Also, go to the county office and get a caseworker.

A site that requires YOU to send THEM money isn't hiring you for a job, they're running a scam. Promises of future earnings can't be relied on.

If you're eligible for food stamps, take them. It's not a negative - that's what they're there for. You might also check into WIC.

Christmas gifts aren't the real meaning of Christmas anyway - maybe write each other letters or something. And the toddler won't know about gifts anyway, and will enjoy something inexpensive.

See if you can find places to meet other moms with toddlers. In nice weather, maybe a local park or something. Even finding someone to talk to online might be good.

Child care is definitely very expensive - does your child's dad work regular shifts? If so, maybe you could find something part time at times when he could watch him/her.

Many people go through tough times financially, and it usually doesn't last forever. Hold onto that thought.

Good luck.

There are some really good websites that you can work at and they pay you pretty good and you don't have to pay anything to sign up! and you can schedule your own hours.
I think they website is www.workathomeagent.com but you might just want to search for West or liveOps( they are the names of the organizations) .. they sell things to people and since its Christmas they need people to take calls for ToysRus. And you can take calls for the new pizza Hut call center.
Hope this helps.. Good Luck!
