i went to the eye doctor and he said i had an infection and to stay away from contacts.he seemed like a very naive doctor so i ignored what he said and continued wearing contacts.

It could be an allergic reaction. Try taking some Benadry or generic equivalent (Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride). But if the swelling is accompanied by oozing, redness and crusting , you probably have an eye infection like conjunctivitis. Clean your contacts! Clean your eyeslashes and lids with warm water and baby shampoo and try rinsing your eyes with a saline solution. If it doesn't clear soon, SEE YOUR DOCTOR!!! Good luck

Tap water is one of the worst things you can put your contact lenses in! It can lead to serious eye infections that could cause permanent blindness. If you cannot follow your doctors orders you are obviously not mature enough to wear contact lenses. If I was your doctor, I would no longer prescribe you contact lenses.

Clean your contacts in the PROPER SOLUTION first off, then another possiblity is that you could have and infection if your eye. If it is excreating liquid/pus you could have pink eye or there might be dust or an eyelash in your eye- BUT CLEAN your lenses- you could really damage you eyes permantly.
Good Luck
*if it dosent get better in two to three days go to you local drugstore/pharmacy and ask for a eye cleanser or alternatively -go to the doctor.

Most likely some type of allergies, but if you wear contacts, I'd seriously get into the doctor. There is fungal infection that often plagues contact wearers called Fusarium, and the quicker you treat it the better off you are, so if they still aren't better, go get some medical help.

Definitely time to break down and get some proper saline solution for your contact lenses. Tap water has chlorine, and that's awfully rough on your eyes.

Well you probably have an infection. First I was gonna say allergies but not taking care of your contacts can lead to bacterial infection and herpes.

get a cucumber, slice it, and put slices on your eyes, the cucumber has an element of cooling and relaxing the skin, it is not a quick cure, but can help it a bit...
hope it helps

Why don't you go to an ophthalmologist? If you ask me, you should.
