As far as I'm concerned every serious film since Philadelphia has been bad. Tom Hanks takes himself too seriously. Bring back the guy who made Big and The Burbs... I do however, have a soft spot for You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle.

The DaVinci Code is a good film, it was just too hyped up that's all. You would have probably liked it if you didn't have such high expectations, or you wouldn't have bothered to watch it, because it probably isn't your cup of tea. Yet due to the hype more people saw it.
Most of his stuff is good, but I have a pretty dodgy film of his call the bachelor party. It is good but in a cheesy 80's yuppy movie kind of way.

I loved all Tom Hanks other films but thought the Da Vinci code was atrocious.
It seemed to waste so many good actors - Jean Reno, Audrey Tautou, Tom Hanks, Alfred Molino, Ian McKellen, Paul Bettany...
It just could've been so good, and yet it was so poor! Oversimplified, corny and just a waste of talent. Why, Tom Hanks, why?!

Minus the hairstyle they put on Tom, I liked "The Divinci Code". I've been a Tom Hanks fan since "Bosom Buddies", and "Mazes and Monsters".
That's all got to say about that...

Castaway was a bit dire, and I can't even watch Sleepless in Seattle all the way through because it's so dull. I'm assuming You've Got Mail is equally as riveting although I wouldn't waste my time trying to find out.
He's done some pretty fab movies as well but you can't be right all the time I guess hehe

I don't the movie is so bad, but we heard so much about it and we were excpecting something absolutely out fo this world - which it wasn't- so we were all very dissapointed. To be fair, I don't really think that anyone could make a good film out of such a book.

None other that I know of. I did not think DaVinci Code was bad, to be honest.

"The Money Pit," "Castaway," and "The Terminal" all qualify as bad Tom Hanks movies in my book.
His best work includes "The Green Mile," "Forrest Gump," and "Saving Private Ryan."

I thought the movie was ok, but somewhat lacking in comparision to the book. However I think Tom Hanks worst movie was Ladykillers!

Depends on what you think is "bad." Some contenders, though: He Knows You're Alone, Volunteers, Joe vs. the Volcano, The Money Pit, Forrest Gump (ha).
