how come old people smell and why dont they understand computers?

Not all old people smell,and that's a horrible thing to say! There are some old people that are extremely sick and causes them to have an odor...and one day that may be you or somebody you are close to! Have you ever been into a nursing home and the smell was strong? Well, look at all the sick old men and women that live there and that will be your answer! There is nothing that they can do about it! And, old people don't understand computers because they were never around them and they haven't had them there whole life and never depended on one!

Sometimes it is as painful as a paper cut and they don't really go out very often, so if you are not around them very much, just deal with it. As far as, as you put it, ( why don't they understand computers? ) it would be like sitting in front of the TV watching reruns, they have been their and done that. Remember some day you too will be walking around smelling bad, and the young people around you ( or not ) will be saying the same thing about you. Be nice to old people, for some day you will be one too.

Now that is not a very nice thing to say is it, haven't you heard of the 'Silver Surfers', there old people who are brilliant on the computer, probably a lot better than some of the younger end too, but they don't brag about it or put others down, as for smelling, that is a horrible thing to say, they are very clean and take care of their personal hygiene, they were taught how to, just remember that one day you'll be old yourself and lets hope no one insults you when you are.

They don't get computers because computers weren't around until they were all grown up so they didn't grow up with them in school and their house etc.
And the reason they smell funny is because the various creams and ointments and medications that so many old people are using for various ailments actually have odd scents.

They have gotten along in life without computers and don't see the need to learn them because frankly computers can be very frustrating. You don't miss what you've never learned.
People smell for a variety of reasons....... perhaps they don't launder as often or take as many showers - they grew up in a different generation where you had to be very thrifty. And many pack their clothing in moth balls that reek.

LOL, When i read this i cracked up laughing!! I totally agree with you!!, old people do smell!! - my friend reackons they smell like fart. lol

I think its because of all the catse they have lying around in the house. The stink kinda gets stuck on them. As for computers, their brains can't really process it coz they're so old - and from (as EVERYONE has been saying) "another generation".

Forget everyone else ~ your question was a cool question, and totally relevant. One i personally have been wondering myself.!

The dont understand computers because they were not raised using them...as for smelling, it has nothing to do with age. If you dont bathe, you smell.

Old people don`t smell if they receive the correct personal care. You don`t understand the concept of ageing, or life in general.

Computers are to complex for them, because they are from a different generation and they don't have a great sense of smell at that age, plus they live in they own smell so they simply don't notice it.

i know someones who 72 and as a computer and as for smelling you don,t have to be old to cause a smell you may need to check your self
