Ebay.com
I have bought a lot of bodys and parts there
Search by "distance , nearest first "
Don't bid if its not what you want , I guaranty you there will be more next week . You can probably buy one that runs and drive it home or use a truck and trailer. I have bought 20+ camaros (dozens others)with in a 200 mile range just because they were dirt cheap. My son and I leave early sunday mornings and spend the day running the roads. Its a blast and I turn around and sell some of the parts I have extra to pay for it all.

My favorite site now is www.craigslist.org
If you search for Camaro and do not find anything, you can place a "Wanted" ad for free.
I placed a Wanted ad for my truck, and had an older gentlemen reply that he had the truck I was looking for... Almost to the color!
It was a 1986 F350 QuadCab Diesel Dually, and in my price range! It doesn't mind getting out and going to work!!!
(Although I do....)
I recomend finding a mid to late 70's model, and putting a mechanical fuel injection system in it to get away from the carb!
The late 60's/early 70's command the highest prices while the mid 80's command the least. (and for me..;with valid reasons)
Do not rule out the Firebirds and Trans Ams!!!

I sure wished I new you back when I got rid of mine!! I was looking for someone like you to take it!
Sure hope you find a good one, just keep looking...Mind you the year does matter. Depends on how much you want to put into it, how hard the parts are to find (mine the parts were real hard to find). The newer ones are fiberglass, and to me do not look as good as the ones back in the 70's! Fun cars!!
I was going out with a buy who was into dodge roadrunners there for a few years. We would find his cars in all sorts of places people would have never thought of. Under weeds, in peoples back yards, I was amazed at his eye for these cars!
Good luck on your quest!!

Have you tried Edmunds.com? What state do you live in and what year are you wanting. We have some friends that specialize in old muscle cars and restoration.

camaros are common, leave notes on ones sitting around your town, you should be able to find a few for dirt cheap, few hundred bucks or less sometimes, you have to actually try..
good luck
